Description

As an optional procedure, applicants can file a “demand” under Chapter II PCT and receive an international preliminary examination report from the EPO. This procedure gives applicants the opportunity to respond to any negative finding of the ISA during the international phase, as opposed to drafting and filing multiple responses with the national/regional offices where national phase entry is made. The webinar will also present the possibility to receive a supplementary international search report in addition to the search carried out by the competent ISA.

The speaker is an experienced PCT lawyer from the directorate in charge of European and international legal affairs.

Registration is free of charge and on a first-come-first-served basis. There is a waiting list. The session will be recorded and uploaded in the EPO’s e-learning centre later on.

Technical requirements
For virtual classrooms (VC), the EPO uses Cisco WebEx, so initially some WebEx software will be installed on your computer. If this is not allowed due to different settings, you can also run a temporary application. For more information please see the "VC guidelines for participants" under "Downloads". In order to make full use of the VC session, we recommend to use headsets.
