Working language(s)

This distance learning course has been designed for patent examiners at national offices and comprises a series of ten virtual classroom (VC) sessions on the use of EPOQUE Net. These virtual presentations are embedded in an e-learning course which also comprises additional practical exercises. The VC sessions are live and scheduled on Wednesdays (mostly). They will help to broaden skills of EPOQUE Net users at national offices. Tips and tricks on efficient use of the EPO's professional patent search tool will be brought to participants by experienced EPO examiners. Features of possible new roll-outs will be included in the course. There will also be enough room to tackle any questions asked by participants.

Practical cases will be provided as short assignments prior to each virtual classroom. Solution(s) proposed by participants and the tutor(s) will be therein discussed.

During the VC sessions, the participants will have the possibility to communicate live with the experts and ask questions (see "VC guidelines for participants"). The VC sessions will be recorded and released in the course. Each one takes approximately 1 to 1,5 h. See dates under "Venue details". Further interaction among participants and with the tutors is possible via a Forum.

Target groups
