This series of web seminars will give an overview of the new Guidelines (in force as of March 2021) and the updates relevant for examiner procedures.

The speakers are a lawyer from directorate Patent Law and an administrator from directorate Patent Procedures Management from the EPO.

The sessions will be recorded and uploaded in the EPO’s e-learning centre later on.

You only need to register once and can choose which sessions you would like to join. You will receive an individual link to each date you have chosen to participate shortly before the event starts.

Technical requirements

To attend this online event participants need a computer with a browser and a high speed internet connection. The EPO uses Cisco WebEx, which requires the installation of some WebEx software on your computer. Security settings on local firewalls will need to be checked.

Registration is free of charge and on a first-come-first served basis. There will be a waiting list once the session is fully booked.

We would kindly ask you to cancel your registration in case you won't be able to join the session. This would allow us to allocate your place to participants on the waiting list.
