PCT Update (in English)

25 November 2021

PCT Update at the EPO is an online seminar which will update and complement last years’ successful PCT Updates, and PCT virtual classrooms, which consist in a cycle of four sessions dedicated to the PCT procedure on specific topics.

In this session of PCT Update, the latest news and developments relevant for PCT users will be provided. A team of PCT experts of the EPO, alongside experienced patent attorneys, will present these topics to you.

It is recommended to watch the recordings of last years' modules before attending this seminar.

- Status update on PCT: facts and figures
- Report on the 2021 PCT Working Group meeting
- Representation at the EPO in the international phase
- Obvious mistakes (R. 91 PCT)
- Early entry into the European phase – request for early processing (Art. 23(2) / 40(2) PCT)

The  seminar PCT Update (in Deutsch) will be held on 17 November 2021.

The seminar PCT Update (in French) was held on 5 July 2021. The recording is available here.

Registration is free of charge and on a first-come-first served basis. Registration is available in the list of online trainings (registration link below).

Registration deadline is 22 November 2021. There will be a waiting list once the session is fully booked.

We would kindly ask you to cancel your registration in case you won't be able to join the session. This would allow us to allocate your place to participants on the waiting list.

The session will be recorded and uploaded in the EPO’s e-learning centre later on.
