Welcome to the MyEPO Portfolio pilot access page.

With your help and feedback, we will trial major new features before making them available to all users when they have been proven to work well with pilot participants.

Accessing MyEPO Portfolio

Please read our Get access page.

You can access MyEPO Portfolio using either two-factor authentication or an EPO smart card.

Open MyEPO Portfolio

Company administrators can manage company members

New users can now request to be added to an existing company or create a new company.

Company administrators can now use the Company members option in the Admin area to accept or reject requests from users to join their company. They can also remove company members, using the “remove” button.

Manage licences and other rights 

Users can request registration of licences for European patent applications, and request cancellation of registrations.

Open any application and submit requests

Any user of MyEPO can open any public EP, UP or Euro-PCT application. They can also request license management, transfer of rights or certified copies.

Reply to a communication under rules 161(1) and 162 EPC

Users can now file amendments in reply to a communication from the EPO under rules 161(1) and 162 EPC regarding entry of an international PCT application into the European phase.

Representative area permissions for IP support staff

Representatives can now grant permission for other users from their company to access their representative area to manage their personal entry in the list of representatives before the EPO.

Request certified copies

Any user of MyEPO Portfolio can request certified copies for any single EP, UP or Euro-PCT application.

Sample e-tutorial for MyEPO Portfolio

We are working on replacing PDF feature guides by an interactive HTML e-tutorial for MyEPO Portfolio and would like your feedback on some samples of the e-tutorial.

Submit bulk requests for a list of applications

Users can upload a .csv file with a list of application numbers and request transfer of rights or registration/cancellation of licences for all of them.

Transfer of rights

Users can now request registration of transfer of rights (change of ownership) for one or more European patent applications or patents in line with Rule 22 EPC.
