EPO joins Pride celebrations in Munich and Vienna 

On 13 and 27 June, respectively, the streets of Vienna and Munich filled with colour and strong displays of solidarity as the EPO Rainbow Group took part in the cities’ Pride parades, alongside friends, families and allies, with more than 230 000 participants attending each event.

For the first time, the EPO joined Vienna Pride, with staff walking along the Ringstraße in a vibrant demonstration celebrating the parade's motto of “VISIBLE since 1996”. In Munich, the march started outside the Isar headquarters and continued through the city in scorching 35°C heat.

Creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves is at the heart of the EPO’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Pride serves as a powerful reminder that visibility goes hand in hand with advocacy. Under the motto “Our Diversity. Our Strength”, this year’s Munich Pride celebrated the rich diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, with both parades providing an important opportunity to visibly stand together in support of equal rights.
