MyEPO - pilot phase
Welcome to the MyEPO page for pilot participants.
This page is for companies that have volunteered to participate in a MyEPO pilot phase. With your help and feedback, we will trial major new features before making them available to all users when they have been proven to work well with pilot participants. For participating as pilot users, please register via our user feedback registration form.
On this page you can see information about new features that are currently available for you to trial as a participating pilot company.

- Accessing MyEPO
Please read our Get access page.
You can access MyEPO using your EPO account with two-factor authentication.
- Applications and patents: view PCT applications
The Applications and patents page now includes active PCT applications for which the EPO has been selected as the receiving office (PCT-RO procedure), the international searching authority (PCT-ISA procedure) or the international preliminary examining authority (PCT-IPEA procedure), even if the application hasn’t entered the European phase.

- Assigning company members to applications
The Admin area includes a new Assignees screen that company administrators can use to assign or identify which company members have been assigned to work on specific applications in the search or examination phase.
The company administrator can assign them manually or choose to download and upload data from a CSV file so that assignees can be maintained in bulk.
When viewing portfolios in Application and patents, users can see which company members have been assigned to each application and can search and filter by assigned company member.Users can also see this information in a new Assignees panel of the application detail screen.
A company member with permission to view the portfolio can use the Actions drop-down list to assign themselves to applications or to remove themselves as assignees. They can also do this in the Assignees panel of the application detail screen.
Note: at this point, all users with permission to view a given portfolio in MyEPO can work on all applications in the portfolio, independently of whether they have been assigned to an application or not. The new field “Exclusive permission” is available but not yet active.In a future release of MyEPO it will be possible to restrict users to only view and work on applications that they have been assigned to. This will allow companies to implement so-called “ethical walls” as a working practice.
- Linking MyEPO companies to Online Filing 2.0 organisations
In the Admin area, MyEPO administrators can link their MyEPO company to an organisation in Online Filing 2.0.
Once the link has been established, MyEPO administrators will be able to view and manage all members of the linked organisation in Online Filing 2.0 using the Admin area of MyEPO.
MyEPO company members are automatically added to the linked organisation in Online Filing 2.0, unless they are already members of another organisation in Online Filing 2.0.
Online Filing 2.0 organisation members are automatically added as MyEPO company members, unless they are already members of another MyEPO company.
Important – please note
In this first release of the feature for pilot trials, we do not yet offer an option to “unlink” your MyEPO company from the Online Filing 2.0 organisation. Once linked, they will remain linked.
So please only start using this feature when you are sure you wish to establish the link.
In case you create the link by mistake, please contact us at epo.org/support or through your key account manager so that we can reverse it for you.

- Timeline panel and requesting accelerated examination
When you view the details of an application in MyEPO, a new Timeline panel is now available for active EPC applications that are not in opposition. It provides an overview of key milestones in the lifecycle of the application—such as the filing date, issuance of the search report, and the grant date—together with the actual dates for past events and expected dates for upcoming ones.
The panel includes a button allowing authorised users to submit an enquiry about the progress of the application.
For applications under examination, an additional button enables authorised users to request accelerated examination under the PACE programme for accelerated prosecution of European patent application (see OJ EPO 2025, A69).
Users can also request this for a large number of applications by uploading a .csv file with the list of applications and make a bulk request for all of them.
