Show, don't tell: what can the visualisation of INPADOC legal event codes and categories teach us?

INPADOC legal event codes come and go; they are introduced, reflect a certain procedural event, and sometimes disappear again. INPADOC categories, by contrast, are a stable set of 26 classifications.  
In this lecture, case studies are used to examine what data visualisation can show us, and how it can improve our knowledge of the availability of legal event data.
