Tutored programme on clarity and non-unity
This is an intermediate-level, tutored seminar covering clarity, unity of invention and sufficiency of disclosure, with an emphasis on practical examples and exercises. Participants will also learn about relevant Boards of Appeal decisions involving clarity and unity of invention. It includes general tests and tests for:
- organic chemistry
- pharmaceutical claims
It also includes optional assignments.

Objectives
"Tutored online seminars" address a theme over several online sessions with the goal of increasing the level of knowledge on a specific topic. Participants are invited to complete tests and assignments under the supervision of EPO tutors.
Course prerequisites
This seminar is for patent examiners only. Participants must have at least two years' experience of searching/examining patent applications.
