Legal updates for national patent offices: UP procedures at the EPO and Guidelines revisions

The Unitary Patent system entered into force on 1 June 2023. This means that the first European patents with unitary effect registered by the EPO on or after 1 June 2023 will take effect in the 17 EU member states participating in enhanced co‑operation that ratified the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court (the UPC Agreement) by that date.

The first session (10:00-12:00) will address the latest revision process of the Guidelines, presenting the revision process and the addition of new content.

The second session of this seminar (14:00-16:00) will update participants on Unitary Patent procedures at the EPO after the grant of the European Patent.
