Workshop on search strategies and written opinions
This workshop focuses on the key aspects of the search phase, the search strategy and the written opinion. These are critical elements of the search, allowing the applicant to have a meaningful view on the potential outcome of their patent application.
- session 1: theoretical session. At the end of the session, a dummy application will be distributed to the participants, who will be asked to design a search strategy and to conduct the search with their respective search tool.
- session 2: discussion of participants' experience with search exercise and model answer from tutors. Participants will then be asked to compose a written opinion for the dummy application.
- session 3: During this last workshop session, participants will discuss the written opinion and share their experience. Tutors will answer any remaining questions.
The workshop does not focus on a particular technical field.
