This series of four lectures, organised in co-operation with the EIT Higher Education Initiative, addresses key IP aspects relevant to innovation and research.
The series begins with Foundations of intellectual property, providing a comprehensive overview of intellectual property and its critical role in innovation and protection. This is followed by a second lecture Mastering patent fundamentals, where participants dive deeper into the structure and components of patents.
The third lecture, Unlocking patent data for innovation, explores how patent information can be used strategically, for example, to prevent research duplication and identify innovation trends. Finally, the series concludes with a fourth lecture, Building effective IP strategies, highlighting the importance of developing a robust IP strategy, particularly within higher education institutions.
These lectures are open to all and may benefit researchers, innovators and technology transfer professionals. Each session begins with a contextual introduction and ends with a Q&A.
This activity is planned in Q1-Q2. Exact dates and details to be announced.
