ANSERA-based SEARCH training for member states

On 25 and 26 March, the European Patent Office (EPO) hosted an on-site workshop at its Munich headquarters, welcoming 29 representatives from 19 national patent offices. The event supported training co-ordinators in designing their own ANSERA-based SEARCH (AbS) tool training programmes. The transition to the powerful cloud-based prior art search tool forms a key part of the EPO’s enhanced IT co-operation with member states under Strategic Plan 2028.
The interactive sessions gave participants from national offices the chance to learn about instructional design principles, how to apply ANSERA-based SEARCH training, and strategies for choosing and training trainers.
Close co-operation with the national patent offices in such workshops is essential to plan the transition to the next generation of IT tools and to ensure that the European patent system continues to provide users with the high-quality services they require.
