Appointment of members of the Disciplinary Board of the EPO
Under Article 9(2) of the Regulation on discipline for professional representatives (OJ EPO 1978, 91), the President of the European Patent Office has appointed the following legally qualified members of the European Patent Office to the Board, all with effect from 1 January 2026:
- Tjerk Groenewegen, appointed for a three-year term,
- Britta Baldus, re-appointed for a one-year term, and
- Eskil Waage, re-appointed for a three-year term.
The President of the European Patent Office has re-appointed the following member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office to the Board, with effect from 1 April 2026:
- Wolfram Hubertus Müller, re-appointed for a three-year term.
The Board thus comprises six legally qualified members of the European Patent Office, namely Vincent Menendez (Chair), Britta Baldus, Eskil Waage, Catherine Jenewein, Veronika Herrle and Tjerk Groenewegen. The Board further comprises four members of the Institute of Professional Representative before the European Patent Office, namely Heike Vogelsang-Wenke, Gunnar Örn Hardarson, Patrick Pierre Pascal Marollé and Wolfram Hubertus Müller.
