EPO successfully completes ISO surveillance audit
In April 2026, the European Patent Office (EPO) successfully underwent the ISO surveillance audit of its management systems by external auditors. Surveillance audits are periodic reviews conducted to verify ongoing adherence to ISO standards.
The audit has confirmed the robustness and maturity of the EPO’s management systems, maintaining the organisation’s ISO certifications for quality management (ISO 9001), occupational health and safety (ISO 45001), information security (ISO 27001) and environmental management (ISO 14001).
This result reflects the EPO’s commitment to international standards, regulatory compliance and the implementation of best practices across all operations.
Through its integrated management system (IMS), the EPO aligns policies, processes and controls within a unified framework, supporting the consistent delivery of high-quality products and services and enabling continuous improvement across all operational domains.
