EPO and CNIPA issue joint statement on response to COVID-19
Munich, 30 June 2020 – EPO President António Campinos and the Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Shen Changyu, today published a joint statement on the two offices' responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The EPO and the CNIPA are fully committed to implementing measures that ensure users across the world have access to high-quality patent protection in Europe and the People's Republic of China," the heads of office said in their joint statement.
“In the current difficult time of the global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the EPO and the CNIPA are united in our efforts to support users based on the long-term, friendly and dynamic co-operation between our offices. We will work together to ensure that our offices continue to support users as they navigate the challenges created by the global pandemic and as they emerge into a post-coronavirus landscape.”
