New patent insight report on offshore wind energy
Our series of patent insight reports continues with the release of another exciting new report.
The EPO regularly publishes patent insight reports on specific technical areas which have the potential to develop particularly quickly. Patent data is analysed by examiners and experts in that technical area and the resulting patent insight report is then published on the EPO website, sometimes accompanied by additional material such as data sets.
Following previous co-operation between the EPO and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) to produce a joint patent insight report on innovation trends in electrolysers for hydrogen production in 2022, we have just published a new joint patent insight report on offshore wind energy. This is our tenth patent insight report and it illustrates the EPO's commitment to keeping its finger on the pulse with regard to technology that has the potential to mitigate the effects of climate change.
This latest report builds on publicly available patent data sources and provides a comprehensive overview of developments in the field of offshore wind energy.
If you are interested in hearing more, please take a look at the new patent insight report: Offshore wind energy, or some of the other reports available on our website.
