Patent Knowledge Week highlights role of patent intelligence in supporting sustainable development and SMEs

Last chance to register. Find out more about the programme.

We are now well into September and the much-awaited Patent Knowledge Week is fast approaching. Taking place from 4 to 7 October 2022, the event aims to help those wanting to base their business decisions on a sound understanding of patent information.

The big topic of the conference will be the Unitary Patent (UP) which, after a long wait, is now just around the corner. There will be a dedicated section looking at the UP from different perspectives and we'll be answering any urgent questions you might have. Learn about the economic impact of the UP, the procedures at the Unified Patent Court and how to access UP-related data in the EPO's various tools and services.

Not only will you discover the incredible impact patent knowledge can have on the start-ups and SMEs that use our tools and services in their daily business, you'll also get to explore the link between patents and sustainable development and learn more about how patent knowledge can contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, you'll have the chance to attend our first-ever online "patent knowledge clinic" and meet the experts behind the EPO's tools, data and services.

We want to hear from you too. During the conference we'd like to get your feedback on our patent information data, tools and services, our user support, the interaction with our patent knowledge team, the future of patent knowledge and of course the conference itself. We're relying on you to help us better tailor our products and services to your needs in the future.

What are you waiting for? Register now and don't miss out on the chance to hear from speakers from within the EPO and beyond. We look forward to seeing you.
