How many members must an association have to request registration of an association?

Representation before the EPO may only be undertaken by natural persons. The authorisation of an association of representatives under Rule 152(11) EPC is thus deemed to be an authorisation of any representative who practises within that association. Any such association must consist of at least two representatives.

Representatives must be registered either on the list of professional representatives before the EPO or with the EPO as a legal practitioner within the meaning of Article 134(8) EPC.
