What documents must I provide for entry/re-entry on the list of professional representatives?
- A signed request for entry/re-entry on the list
- A certified copy of a valid passport or national identity card (not a driving licence)
Copies can be certified by a professional representative before the EPO (European patent attorney), by a legal practitioner (provided they are entitled to do so under national law) or by a public authority of an EPC contracting state through a signed attestation on the relevant document. If your name has changed since you took the EQE, please attach appropriate evidence (e.g. certified copy of marriage certificate). - Proof of current place of business/employment
You need written confirmation of your current place of business/employment (e.g. a letter from your current employer or, for self-employed representatives, other appropriate evidence, e.g. proof of tax/business registration). Please do not use your private address if it is not identical to your business/employment address. - A copy of the letter indicating your European qualifying examination (EQE) result
- Where applicable, a copy of the summons to oral proceedings
- Where applicable, a nationality exemption request (Form 52310 together with the supporting documents specified in the form and its notes).
Where you are requesting re-entry on the list, and where applicable, please also submit proof of payment of outstanding epi annual subscriptions.
