Does the EPO consider it safe to install the Zoom software?

In view of the significant security improvements in the Zoom platform, the EPO has approved the use of the software, within the controlled environment that is applied to any other commercial software. The EPO tests new versions before roll-out within a specific vulnerability management process, combined with a number of other security elements that are present in the EPO environment. The EPO is committed to a continual improvement cycle for its information security practices, as shown in the Strategic Plan 2023.

It remains important, of course, that users follow the best practices with regard to updating and patching all user software (including Zoom), and that tool selection is combined with the implementation of other technical security measures on the client side (firewalls, antivirus software, etc.).
