Who can submit a project proposal?

Researchers affiliated with a research institute located in a member state of the European Patent Organisation can submit a project proposal. Their research institute will act as the official project applicant (contracting partner), and they will be considered the principal researchers. Official project applicants can submit proposals individually or as part of a group of research institutes.

With regard to proposals involving a group of institutes, while the official project applicant must be based in a member state of the European Patent Organisation, the partner institutes can be based anywhere in the world. Researchers at the partner institutes, as well as any non-academics, participate in the project as co-researchers.
