What has changed for EPAC as of 2026?

The EPO has redesigned EPAC into a flexible, modular certification path comprising four independent modules. The modular structure allows candidates to choose how many modules of the EPAC they want to sit in a year. For each module, they will earn an EPO-diploma. Once they have passed the 4 modules, they will receive the EPAC certificate. Modules can be completed in any order, while Module 1 (EPC & PCT patent law) is the recommended starting point.
