What information is displayed in the EP Federated Register?
For each designated contracting state offering the EP Federated Register service you will be able to view the status of a European patent with unitary effect and a conventional European patent in the national phase.
The status of the European patent with unitary effect (EPC0) is displayed at the top of the EP Federated register view. It is a snapshot of the legal and procedural information in the Unitary Patent Register section of the Register. When you click EPC0, you are directed to the complete details of the patent in UP About this file.
The status of a conventional patent in the national phase is displayed in the table below. The information here is retrieved from the relevant national patent office register in real time and gives a snapshot of the information corresponding to the validated states of the patent. To get legal status information at source for conventional patents, most of the listed country codes have deep links to the registers of the national offices.
