Have you claimed your refunds?

We ask patent applicants and their representatives to check Central Fee Payment for unclaimed refunds and to claim them promptly.

Refunds can be credited either to a bank account or to a deposit account held with the EPO.

If you are a registered user of MyEPO and the Mailbox, you can use Central Fee Payment to claim refunds without a refund code.

Otherwise, we will need to send you a refund code by post. If you have not received your refund code, contact [email protected] and we will resend it.

If you are a deposit account holder, refunds can automatically be credited to your deposit account if you provide refund instructions before the refunds are processed by the EPO.

Please note that, in accordance with Article 13 of the Rules relating to Fees (Termination of financial obligations), all unclaimed refunds from 2021 will be forfeited in January 2026.
