CURRENT SPLIT CIRCUIT FOR EQUALLY SPLITTING CURRENT BETWEEN PARALLEL CONNECTED LED LUMINAIRE STRINGS
1. The appeal is against the decision of the Examining Division of the European Patent Office posted 20 January 2020 refusing European patent application No. 14702739.5 pursuant to Article 97(2) EPC.
2. The appellant (applicant) filed a notice of appeal on 24 March 2020 and paid the fee for appeal on the same day.
3. No statement of grounds was filed.
4. The notice of appeal contains nothing that could be regarded as a statement of grounds pursuant to Article 108 EPC.
5. In a communication dated 04 September 2020, sent by registered letter with advice of delivery, the Board informed the appellant that no statement of grounds had been filed and that the appeal could be expected to be rejected as inadmissible pursuant to Article 108 EPC in conjunction with Rule 101(1) EPC.
6. The appellant was invited to file observations within two months from notification of the communication.
7. No answer has been given within the given time limit to the Board's communication
As no written statement setting out the grounds of appeal has been filed, the appeal has to be rejected as inadmissible (Rule 101(1) EPC in conjunction with Article 108 EPC).
For these reasons it is decided that:
The appeal is rejected as inadmissible.
