Must a national professional representative be appointed?
The procedural steps referred to in section 2 may be taken by the applicant or his representative before the EPO.
The SE Patent Office can invite an applicant not domiciled in Sweden to have an agent residing here who is entitled to receive for him service in matters concerning the application.
