Knowledge café

Knowledge café on computer-implemented inventions (CII)

The knowledge café is a 90-minute open discussion forum and most interesting for patent professionals who work in the field of CII.

  • You can join the discussion at one of the four knowledge café tables.
  • A different topic is discussed at each table.
  • Each table can host 12 guests. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • There will be one announced rotation of tables (round 1 and round 2, 45 minutes each), however you are free to move at any time to explore the other topics.
  • Topics are introduced, mediated and summarised by EPO experts.
  • Participants may bring their own questions and examples to be discussed.
  • We will adhere to the Chatham House Rule to encourage an open exchange of thoughts.

The knowledge café is held in parallel with plenary lectures 2 and 3 (17.00-18.30) for those who are interested in a more general subject.

Following the participants' interest, four knowledge café tables will be offered. Please consult this document to learn more about the topics and the experts:
