The 2021 edition set Europe’s foremost innovation prize on a new path. The ceremony was the first all-digital event in the Award’s history and the EPO announced two changes to the current format. From 2022, the Lifetime achievement category will honour one inventor whose work has impacted society. The category will no longer feature three finalists for which a winner is selected.
The EPO also wants to inspire the next generation of inventors and has established the Young Inventors prize. This prize is open to innovators under the age of 30 and will recognise sustainability-driven initiatives across all technical fields.
Nominations for the 2022 Award are now open. You may propose an inventor or yourself before 01 October. For details on each category, prize and how to submit a nomination, please refer to the links alongside.
