Réunis près de Paris (France) à l'occasion de leur 29e conférence tripartite annuelle, les dirigeants de l'OEB, de l'Office des brevets du Japon et de l'Office des brevets et des marques des Etats-Unis - communément appelés "offices engagés dans la coopération tripartite" -, ont progressé dans leurs efforts visant à accroître l'harmonisation des systèmes de brevets dans le monde en convenant de mesures pour améliorer l'efficacité des procédures relatives aux brevets entre les trois zones.

M. Wim Van der Eijk nommé Vice-Président de l'OEB

Van der Eijk, âgé de 54 ans et de nationalité néerlandaise, sera responsable de la Direction générale "Recours" de l'OEB, succédant ainsi au Suisse Peter Messerli, qui partira à la retraite à la fin du mois de novembre. La durée de son mandat sera de cinq ans à compter du 1er décembre 2011.
