Young Inventors prize

Young Inventors Prize

Aimed at innovators aged 30 and under, the EPO has established the Young Inventors prize to encourage and support the next generation of inventors, and to recognise problem-solving initiatives across all fields of science and technology. With the new prize the EPO acknowledges young innovators who use technology to develop solutions in any field that are helping to reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ranging from climate action and sustainable cities to quality education and zero hunger. The winner and two additional finalists receive a cash prize. By being connected to the renowned European Inventor Award, the new prize has the potential to become a springboard for young inventors who play an essential role in shaping our common future.

Meet the very first finalists of the Young Inventors prize, during the European Inventor Award virtual ceremony on 21 June 2022 at 12:00 CEST, when we will reveal the first, second and third place winners.
