As in the previous year, the EPO will offer a series of virtual classrooms on Asian patent information during the first half of 2015. During these short online sessions, experts from the EPO's Asian patent information services will give an overview on particular topics, such as aspects of the patent systems, granting procedures, searching information in free databases, etc.
In the next few months, we will offer a small series of sessions showing how to retrieve and interpret legal status information from China, Japan and Korea. Another special session will introduce the features of the new search platform of the Japan Patent Office "JPlatPat" which will be launched in late March 2015. This database will replace the previous "Industrial Property Digital Library" (IPDL).
Participation is free of charge, however, we kindly ask you to register in advance via the online training section of the EPO website.
