After the revision of the Patent Act in 2014, draft amendments of the corresponding examination guidelines for patents and utility models were submitted to the public for comments from 4 February to 5 March 2015. The changes have now been finalised.
The changes in the examination guidelines mainly concern formal aspects, such as claiming priority according to the Paris Convention, or domestic priority. The revised guidelines entered into force on 1 April 2015.
You can find more detailed information and an English translation of the revised parts of the examination guidelines on the JPO's website.
