According to a press release by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), an amended Copyright Act entered into force in Thailand on 4 August 2015. The revised Copyright Act was published in the Royal Gazette on 5 February 2015 and amends the previous Copyright Act B.E. 2537 (1994), inter alia by adding provisions on preliminary injunctions against copyright infringement in computer systems, on punitive damages and court orders on the destruction of counterfeit goods after seizure.
The revised Copyright Act (No. 2) B.E. 2558 (2015) is now available (currently in Thai only) in the WIPO Lex database.
