Movember, a worldwide event taking place each year, aims to spread the word on the importance of men’s health issues. A play on words between moustache and November, the event encourages men to let their moustaches grow throughout the month. With a mission to “change the face of men’s health” money is raised through the Movember Foundation to increase awareness on problems like prostrate and testicular cancer as well as male suicide.

What are the Movember rules?

  • Start with a clean-shaven face.
  • For the entire month of Movember, grow and groom a moustache.
  • Beards, goatees and fake moustaches don't count.
  • Use the power of the moustache to spark conversation and raise funds for men's health.

Speaking of moustaches, on 29 October 1912 a patent was granted for a handy "moustache-engaging feature" (comb) to hold your moustache in place on your face while you eat, drink and look completely normal. Can you find the patent number of the invention using one of our search tools?
