The EPO will start a major upgrade to its IT landscape at 14.00 hrs on 18 February. This is the final stage in a journey to migrate all IT systems used for the patent granting process to a new, state-of-the-art platform. Online filing systems will be available as usual.
Given the complexity of the exercise, it is possible that - despite the tests and preparations conducted - there may be some disruption or delays to updates. The EPO will therefore be updating this page in real time with details of any problems encountered, the current impact, the expected time until resolution and any workarounds if applicable.
