New! Online tutorial for the European Patent Register
"A simple, lively, interesting way to learn" - this is the idea behind the new Register Assistant online training course. For anyone not yet familiar with the European Patent Register, the Register Assistant will be an invaluable resource.
The European Patent Register Assistant is an interactive online training course that shows you how to use the European Patent Register and Register Alert service.
It covers five topics:
Each topic section features an introductory video (except Power tips) and several more detailed modules. There is a short quiz at the end of each module to test what you have learned.
Don't miss the User assessment module in the first topic section. Use it to test your knowledge: depending on the results, the system will propose relevant modules to refresh or extend your understanding of specific areas.
Other areas of interest for experienced users are the Power tips and In-depth information. They explain how to use the Register Alert service to monitor specific patent applications, and provide tips on more advanced searching.
The Register Assistant is available in English, French and German. You can access it via the Help and Related links sections or by going straight to www.epo.org/register-assistant. If you wish to make more detailed comments on the Register Assistant, please write to pitraining@epo.org.
