Has a patent application been withdrawn or rejected? Is a granted patent still valid? Has it expired? Has it lapsed? Has it been revoked? ... Global patent index now includes searchable legal status. It currently consists of the frontfile data provided by more than 40 authorities and the full legal status information (backfile) will soon be searchable! Learn more about legal status searching in GPI from the newly edited User manual version below.

In addition to the three EPO official languages, the Global patent index interface is now also available in Japanese and Spanish! Did you know? Spanish is spoken by more than 500 million people in the world and Japanese by over 100 million.
