    2.3.2.  Acknowledgement of receipt

    The receipt of a request for unitary effect filed online is acknowledged electronically following its submission. Where such an acknowledgement is not successfully transmitted, the UPP Division will transmit it by other means without delay, provided it has sufficient information to do so (Art. 13 of the decision of the President of the EPO dated 3 May 2023Art. 11 of the decision of the President of the EPO dated 16 October 2024 (OJ EPO 2024, A88)). The acknowledgement of receipt is also issued on paper for requests for unitary effect submitted on paper.
