Decision of the Administrative Council of 21 December 1978 amending the Implementing Regulations to the European Patent Convention

THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN PATENT ORGANISATION,

Having regard to the European Patent Convention (hereinafter referred to as the Convention) and in particular Article 33, paragraph 1 (b), thereof, On a proposal from the President of the European Patent Office

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following texts shall be substituted for the English and French versions respectively of the last sentence of Rule 26, paragraph 2 (c), of the Implementing Regulations to the European Patent Convention:

(a) in English:

"It is recommended that the telegraphic and telex address and telephone number be indicated;"

(b) in French:

"Il est recommandé d'indiquer l'adresse télégraphique at de télex ainsi que le numéro de téléphone;"

Article 2

The following text shall be substituted for Rule 32, paragraph 2 (a), of the Implementing Regulations:

"Drawings shall be executed in durable, black, sufficiently dense and dark, uniformly thick and well-defined, lines and strokes without colourings."

Article 3

The following text shall be substituted for Rule 35, paragraph 6, of the Implementing Regulations:

"(6) Subject to Rule 32, paragraph 1, the minimum margins shall be as follows:

The recommended maximum for the margins quoted above is as follows:

Article 4

The President of the European Patent Office shall forward a certified copy of this Decision to all signatory States to the Convention and to the States which accede thereto.

Article 5

This Decision shall enter into force on 1 May 1979.
