    Notice of the President of the European Patent Office dated 17 May 1990 concerning extension of time limits according to Rule 85 EPC

    1. There was a general interruption of the postal service in the Federal Republic of Germany and Berlin (West) within the meaning of Rule 85, paragraph 2, EPC. This interruption and subsequent dislocation in the delivery of mail lasted from 2 until 16 May 1990.

    2. In the case of documents concerning European patent applications and patents addressed to the EPO in Munich and Berlin, time limits expiring in the period between 2 and 16 May have accordingly been extended to 17 May 1990 pursuant to Rule 85, paragraph 2, EPC. This also applies to documents addressed to The Hague branch of the EPO by parties who have their residence or place of business in the Federal Republic of Germany or Berlin (West) or have appointed representatives whose place of business is in the Federal Republic of Germany or Berlin (West).
