INFORMATION FROM THE EPO
Notice from the European Patent Office dated 15 July 1992 about the EPIDOS information register
In response to many requests the Office has expanded its patent information services and set up a new "EPIDOS Information Register", henceforth providing users of the European patent system with additional procedural information about European and Euro-PCT applications and European patents.
The procedural data in the EPIDOS information register supplement the official Register of European Patents (Article 127, Rule 92 EPC), following on in a separate section with the above heading. These data are not part of the Register of the European Patents, nor therefore are they published in the European Patent Bulletin under Article 129(a) EPC.
Details of what the EPIDOS information register contains, and about the technical improvements facilitating access to both registers, are given in the information sheet enclosed with this issue of the Official Journal and available free of charge from any EPO information office. There is no additional charge for on-line access to the EPIDOS information register.
EPO information desks provide telephone information (within limits) from the EPIDOS information register, but users are requested not to ring EPO formalities officers with such queries.
