    INFORMATION FROM THE EPO

    Notice from the European Patent Office dated 16 October 1992 concerning the revised Request for Grant form

    In accordance with Rule 26(1) EPC, the revised Request for Grant form reproduced below1 is prescribed for filing the written request for the grant of a European patent. Applicants may continue to use the old forms2 until 30 June 1993.

    The revised form takes account in Section 31 of the new Rule 27a EPC3 concerning the requirements of European patent applications relating to nucleotide and amino acid sequences which enters into force on 1 January 1993. No other changes have been made to the form.

    The new version of the Notes is also reproduced below.

    1 The revised form (reference "EPA/EPO/OEB Form 1001 01.93") is expected to be available as from the end of December 1992. It is obtainable free of charge from the EPO - preferably from Vienna, but also from Munich, The Hague and Berlin - as well as from the central industrial property offices of the Contracting States.
