New fee rates
By Order of 29 May 19951 the fees for patents have been amended.
Applicants and proprietors of European patents with effect in Portugal are advised that from 1 June 1995 the following rates apply:
1. Filing of European patent applications with INPI:
PTE 7 000 filing fee and
PTE 700 presentation fee
2. Publication of translation of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC:
PTE 7 000 filing fee (if the European patent application has not been filed with INPI),
PTE 700 presentation fee and
PTE 8 000 publication fee
3. Publication of translation of the patent specification under Article 65 EPC:
PTE 7 000 filing fee (if the European patent application has not been filed with INPI or if no translation of the claims has been filed with INPI for the purpose of provisional protection),
PTE 700 presentation fee and
PTE 8 000 publication fee
4. Renewal fees:

PTE 700 presentation fee and

6. Registering a transfer, licences and other rights:
PTE 12 000 transfer fee
PTE 700 presentation fee
Updating of the information brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (9th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables II, column 5, III.B, column 2 and 9, IV, column 3 and 10, VI, column 1, VII, column 2 and IX, column 4.
