Appointment of members of the Examination Board and Examination Committees
Members of the Examination Board
The President of the European Patent Office has reappointed the following members of the Examination Board for four years with effect from 1 December 1996 after expiry of their term of office on 30 November 1996:
- L. Dybdahl (DK) and B. Günzel (DE);
- J.-F. Léger (CH) and I. Muir (GB) on a proposal from the President of the Council of the Institute of Professional Representatives.
B. Molac (FR) ceased to be a member of the Examination Board with effect from 31 October 1996 before expiry of her term of office. For the remainder of her term of office the President of the European Patent Office appointed P. Weinhold (DE) on a proposal from the President of the Council of the Institute of Professional Representatives as a member of the Examination Board with effect from 1 November 1996. His term of office will expire on 30 November 1998.
Members of the Examination Committees
The term of office of J. Combeau (FR), B. Molac and I. Muir as members and chairmen of Examination Committees I, II and III respectively ended on 31 October 1996. The Examination Board reappointed J. Combeau and I. Muir as chairmen of Examination Committees I and III; their term of office will expire on 31 October 1998.
B. Molac is no longer Chairman and member of Examination Committee II with effect from 31 October 1996. The Examination Board appointed P. Weinhold with effect from 1 November 1996 as Chairman of Examination Committee II; his term of office will expire on 31 October 1998.
The term of office of the following members of one of the three examination committees expired on 31 October 1996: J. Barthl-Wagner (AT), M. Bergzoll (FR), J. Boff (GB), E. Christiansen (DK), D. David (FR), A. Däweritz (DE), A. Gerbino (IT), T. Godemeyer (DE), I. Harris (GB), A. Hugot (FR), F. Ibañez (ES), T. Karamanli (GR), G. Kern (DE), E. Krause (AT), F. Mercey (GB), P. Michel (GB), O. Münch (CH), I. Pielka (GB), M. Radke (DE), P. Rostovanyi (SE), M. Ruggiu (IT), M. Seehof (CH), J. van Geyt (BE), S. White (GB). The Examination Board reappointed them as members of an examination committee with effect from 1 November 1996; their term of office will expire on 31 October 1998.
G. Brock-Nannestad (DK), A. Denham (GB), E. Kossonakou (GR), K. Lederer (DE), M. Linderoth (SE) and G. Meier (DE) ceased to be members of an examination committee with effect from 31 October 1996.
Furthermore the Examination Board appointed F. Bosch (FR), S. Dack (GB), C. Jönsson (SE) and F. Ketterl (DE) with effect from 1 November 1996 as members of one of the three examination committees; their term of office will expire on 31 October 1998.
The Examination Board deeply regrets to announce the death of G. O'Sullivan (IE) on 20 October 1996.
