New fee rates
By Law No. 12/1996 of 30 December 19961 the fees for patents have been amended.
Applicants and proprietors of European patents with effect in Spain are advised that from 1 January 1997 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC:
ESP 13 875 (ESP 12 975 for translations on magnetic data carrier).
2. Publication of translation of the patent specification under Article 65 EPC:
ESP 37 000 plus ESP 1 485 for each page of the translation in excess of the 22nd (ESP 31 330 plus ESP 1 190 for translation on magnetic data carrier).

Updating of the information brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (10th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables III.B, column 2, IV, column 3, VI, column 1, VII, column 2, and IX, column 4.
