Decisions of the President of the EPO

Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 10 January 2000 amending the Arrangements for the automatic debiting procedure (AAD)

The President of the European Patent Office,

having regard to Articles 5(2) and 8(2) of the Rules relating to Fees,

Has decided as follows:

1. By decision of the Administrative Council of 13 October 19991, the Implementing Regulations to the European Patent Convention and the Rules relating to Fees have been amended. The Arrangements for the automatic debiting procedure2 shall therefore be amended as follows:

(a) The reference in brackets in No. 3(b) AAD to Rule 104b(1)(b)(i) EPC shall be replaced by a reference to Rules 106(a) and 107(1)(c) EPC;

(b) The reference in brackets in No. 3(c) AAD to Rule 104b(4) EPC shall be replaced by a reference to Rule 112 EPC;

(c) The reference in brackets in No. 3(d) AAD to Article 79(2) EPC shall be supplemented by a reference to Rules 106(b) and 107(1)(d) EPC;

(d) The reference in brackets in No. 3(e) AAD to Rules 31(1) and 51(7) EPC shall be supplemented by a reference to Rule 110 EPC;

(e) The reference in brackets in No. 6.1(b), third indent, AAD to Rule 104b(1)(e) EPC shall be replaced by a reference to Rule 107(1)(f) EPC.

2. This decision shall enter into force on 1 March 2000.
