National fees in euro
In view of the introduction of the euro, the patent fees of the Irish Patent Office1 have been laid down in the new currency.
Applicants and proprietors of European patents with effect in Ireland are advised that from 1 January 2002 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC: EUR 35
2. Publication of translations of the patent specification pursuant to Article 65 EPC: EUR 35

Surcharge 1st to 3rd month: EUR 11 per month
Surcharge 4th to 6th month: EUR 19 per month
4. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:
Filing fee: EUR 125
Conversion fee: EUR 30
5. Registering a transfer, licences and other rights: EUR 50 ;
for each additional patent where the devolution of title is the same as in the first patent: EUR 6
Updating of the information brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (11th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables III.B, column 2, IV, columns 3 and 10, VI, columns 1 and 3, VII, column 2, and IX, column 4.
