New fee rates
The Turkish Patent Institute has informed us that the patent fees in Turkey have been changed1.
Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Turkey are advised that from 1 January 2004 the following rates apply:
1. Publication of translations of the claims pursuant to Article 67(3) EPC: TRL 315 000 000
2. Publication of translations of the patent specification under Article 65 EPC: TRL 472 000 000
3. Fee for extending the period for filing the Turkish translation of the patent specification: TRL 159 000 000

5. Conversion of European patent applications or patents into national patent applications or patents:
Filing fee: TRL 49 000 000 (The filing fee is increased according to the number of priorities.)
6. Fees payable for merger: TRL 138 000 000; transfer of title: TRL 74 000 000; assignment, succession, licences and other rights: TRL 188 000 000.

Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (12th edition) are asked to make the appropriate amendments to the amounts of fees shown in Tables III.B, columns 2 and 9, IV, columns 3 and 10, VI, column 1, VII, column 2, as well as IX, column 4.
