Payment of fees in Slovakia
The Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic has pointed out that instead of the bank account published in OJ EPO 2004, 353, there are now two different accounts for payment of renewal fees and other fees concerning European patents in Slovakia.
The details of the new accounts are as follows:
For payment of renewal fees:

Applicants and patent proprietors are requested to state the following details to allow proper identification of payments. Attention is drawn in particular to the fact that a different account reference is to be cited according to the type of payment made.
Please state with each payment of renewal fees:
- the account reference: "Účet európskych patentov Úrad priemysel. vlastníctva SR BB", as well as
- the "variable symbol" described below which is needed to identify the European patent application or European patent concerned.
Please state with each payment of any other fees:
- the account reference: "Depozitný účet Úrad priemysel. vlastníctva SR BB", as well as
- the "variable symbol" described below which is needed to identify the European patent application or European patent concerned.
The "variable symbol" consists of a 10-digit numerical code composed as follows:

where:
1 9 = prefix – European patent application/European patent
yyyyyyyy = publication number of the European patent application (without A or B)
Updating of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC"
Users of the EPO information brochure "National law relating to the EPC" (12th edition) are asked to amend column 2 of Table VIII accordingly.
